Sign ups: In person registraion is done - you can sign up by March 1st for the 2012 season. Space is limited to availability/numbers
Only sign ups left are to be done on the HYAA website through on line registrations
Tryout dates: ALL TRYOUTS ARE BEING HELD AT THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Saturday 2/25/2012 : 10u's 12(noon) - 2pm
12u's 2:00 pm - 4:00pm
14's 4:00 pm - 6:00pm
(16u To Be Determined)
Sunday 2/26/2012 10:00am - 12:00pm : 10u's
12:00pm - 2:00pm : 12u's
2:00pm - 4:00pm : 14u's

All 2012 traveling softball participants are required to make one or both of the days listed. We are encouraging each girl to take advantage of a second tryout opportunity if they can. During this time we will take all of the girls through the tryout process. Please arrive 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to your age level time for uniform sizing. We will be ordering custom uniforms for the girls - it will be extremely important that you order the correct size.
Purchases Required: WE WILL BE REQUIRING ALL GIRLS TO PURCHASE AN UNDERSHIRT (SPORT TECH TYPE) TO WEAR UNDERNEATH THEIR JERSEYS. HYAA IS GOING TO THE EXPENSE TO HAVE ALL NEW "CUSTOM" JERSEY'S MADE FOR THE GIRLS. TO MAKE THE UNIFORM COMPLETE - THESE WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL.
WE WILL HAVE SAMPLES FOR SIZING:
SHORT SLEEVE (REQUIRED) $21.00
LONG SLEEVE: (OPTIONAL) $26.00
We will also have some Ringor Spikes available for purchase. These are high quality spikes that most of the Varsity players wear. They have a special spike for the pitchers that have a reinforced toe. These will be available at a reduced price if we can get an order of 10 pairs together. So, if you are looking for a spike to last more than a season - these are perfect. They run between $80.00 - $90.00.
Please bring all of your equipment (ex: glove, bat, batting gloves) to be best prepared for your tryout. Tennis shoes are best on the gym floors.
Parents there will be a mandatory parent meeting to take place at the time the girls begin their tryout process. At least 1 parent needs to be present at this meeting. This will be your time to get a clear understanding of traveling softball and ask questions that you may have.

There will be a, strongly encouraged, 1st practice for all girls.
Tuesday 3/6/2012 for 12u, 14u and 16u - Hastings High School gym from 6-9pm.
Thursday 3/8/2012 for all of 10u - Hastings High School gym from 6-9pm
***We will look at doing a "Make Up" session at this time for those few that need it.

Session 1
For beginners to players that have had a few lessons. (6-8 max)
Time: 1:45-3
Place: Hastings High School Wresling room
Fee: $10.00 per player (due at check in that day)
Session 2
For Players that are a little more advanced / have pitched in some games - looking to improve on their form (3-4 max)
Time: 2:45-4
Place: Hastings High School Wrestling room
Fee: $15.00 per player (due at check in that day)
Space is limited - please send me an e-amil if you are interested in attending sessions. It will be based on 1st come 1st serve. Julie Westbrook is the instructor - please visit her website "Strike3pitching" for her information. Private lessons with Julie are available - you will have the opportunity to schedule these with her.
